Rates and Insurance
At Phoenix Counseling LLC, we strive to provide accessible and affordable mental health services to all our clients. Understanding the costs and insurance coverage options is crucial for managing your care effectively. Below, we provide detailed information on our rates, insurance policies, and payment optionsto help you navigate your mental health journey with clarity and confidence.
Insurance
To understand the extent of your coverage, we advise reaching out to your insurance company and posing the following inquiries:
• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
• What is my deductible, and has it been met?
• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover, and at what rate?
• Is the counselor/provider covered under my insurance?
We will notify you of the information we receive on your insurance benefits. We recommend that you also call your insurance to ensure you understand your benefits and coverage of mental health services.
Insurances We Are Contracted With
We are contracted with various insurance providers to ensure you receive the coverage you need. Our contracted insurance providers include:
• BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas (and other states) / BCBS
• Medicaid (Sunflower/Cenpatico, Aetna Better Health, Kancare, KMAP, and United Medicaid)
• Aetna Commercial
• ProviDRs Care
If your insurance provider is not listed above, please call us to verify if we accept your insurance. For all clients with private health insurance or paying out-of-pocket, we do require a credit card on file for copays, coinsurance, and fees for “no-shows” and “late cancellations.”
Payment Options
We aim to offer flexible payment options to make mental health services more accessible to you.
Accepted payment methods include all major credit cards and cash.
These payment methods can be used for co-payments and out-of-pocket sessions.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes, you may need to cancel or reschedule your session. To ensure that we can accommodate all our clients and respect our counselors’ time, we have implemented the following cancellation policy:
24-Hour Notice: You may cancel your session without penalty by providing at least 24 hours advance notice.
Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be responsible for a $75 fee.
Missed Appointments or “No-Shows”: Missed appointments are subject to a $150 fee.
Please be aware that if you miss three appointments without timely cancellations, your counseling services may be terminated. Similarly, if you cancel half of your monthly appointments, your counseling services may be terminated. If you experience a special circumstance, please speak with our administrative staff. This policy helps protect our counselors and ensures that other clients on the waiting list can receive the care they need. As a courtesy, we send out reminders via text or email to those who request them. Please don’t hesitate to ask us about these reminders or any questions you may have regarding our cancellation policy.
